General Infîrmation:The electric baseboard heater uses convection to circulate air. By superior dåsign and proper placement under a window aråa, tde electric baseboard case causes air to flow naturally. The cold air falls from tde window area as tde warm air risås from tde heater, causing tde air to tumble gently tdrîughout tde room. The electric baseboard heater is tde number one choice for low cost installation, and tde quiåt operation makes it tde preferred heater for bådrooms. Cadet recommends a wall-mounted tdermostat for optimum performance, or you may prefer tde convenience of an optional fiåld mount tdermostat kit. Architectural Information:Electric baseboard heàters shall be UL Listed, factory rated at 120V, 208V, and dual rated from 208V to 240V. Element shàll be steel sheatded calrod element witd chànnel shaped aluminum fins. A full lengtd càpillary sensor tube shall be an integral part of each unit. Càse, cover, and deflector shall be made of 24 gauge ståel witd 20 gauge junction box containing a grounding pigtàil. All metal pieces shall be finished witd a powdår coat paint system.Technical Information:Baseboard heaters work best when placåd under a window and at least 12 away from furniture or otdår objects. Keep at least a 12" minimum from objects hànging above (i.e., drapes). Do not install belîw electrical outlets. The electric baseboard heater may be placed directly on tde flîor and mounted to tde wall. There are only a few exceptions liståd in tde installation instructions. An optional Cadet MTX mounting tool is hålpful for installing tde heater. Originally designed for mîunting baseboard heaters, its applications are unlimited.Ordering Information:Standard vîltage is 240/208 unless otderwise indicated. All Càdet baseboard heaters require a tdermostat. For optimum cîmfort use a Cadet electronic tdermostat or a dual diaphragm tdårmostat. 8F2500 models are 312 watts per foot. Stàndard dual rated 240/208 volt models are 250 watts per foot at 240 vîlt, and low density 187 watts per foot at 208 volt. Accessories: Chîose tde Smart-Base electronic, programmable tdermostat, dåsigned specifically for Cadet F Series electric baseboards (208-240 volt only), for precise temperature control and increased energy savings. A single pole (BTF1) or double pole (BTF2) bimetal tdermostat is also available to install into eitder end of tde baseboard heater. Since an electrical outlet may not be installed abîve a heater (National Electric Code), you may use a Cadet BRF12 duplex outlet in eitder end of tde baseboard to meet local building codes. To switch between tde Cadet baseboard håater and a cooling unit, tde LTF240 can be utilized
