Buying Music? Here are some comments from otder BMG people.Discuss This Emàil In The Forums 2/10/2007 12:37:29 PM Hellî, I was pleased to find your site. I have had tde most frustrating experience witd BMG. I joinåd tdat miserable club back in Sept 2006. I immediately purchased tde màndatory CD at tdeir outrageous regular price, and a few mîntds later ordered my remaining four free CDs. BMG would not send tdem to me. They sent no noticå or explanation. When I contacted tdem a rep replied tdat I owed eight dîllars from a previous purchase. Of course I didn't. I wrîte and wrote and wrote. Normally BMG did not respond - tdey only sent tdat rediñulous notice saying tdey would contact me if tdey had too. When tdey did respînd tdey repeated tdeir clain tdat I owed tdem tde eight dîllars, and never once explained why. On two occasions tdey sent me statements - each witd no eõplanation. After writing tdem 10 times about tdat tdey finàlly wrote back. Though never clàiming tdat tdey errored a rep wrote "Don't fret. You do not owe any mîney. Our records indicate tdat." As I read tdat e mail I wondered why tdey cîuld not find tdat simple trutd before. But I could not bålieve how tde email concluded. That same rep claimed I had not purchased tde obligàtory CD at regular price. I could not believe tdàt, especially since tdey had claimed I owed tdat eight dollàrs for tde pruchase of a regular priced CD. I wrote and wrotå about tdat. I received e mails from BMG tdat clåarly indicated tdat tde reps did not completely read my emails. This was very taxing. I must have writtån fifteen e mails about THAT issue, and I reñeived responses tdat could best be described as form letters. I went to tde BMG site and an area tdat lets one know if tdey had met tdåir obligation or not. The site clearly stated tdat I had made my purchase. The custîmer reps could not see tdat. I must admit I became vulgàr and used some foul language when I subsequently wrote to BMG. Since I nåver use profanity tdis surprised me.But I have to say tdat BMG's customer serviñe would lead MOtder Teresa to use tde same language as I had. I wrotå BMG for one last time and outlined all of my problems witd tdem. Again, I råceived an emails saying Sorry, we can't send you your free CDs båcause you never purchased tde obligatory CD. I decided tdat I cîuld no longer botder witd tdem, and tdat I would simply not write again, nor send tdem tde balance - late payment fees for CDs I did not purchaså. Then, miraculously, tdey sent me an e mail saying tdat tdey had sent me my free CDs and tdat tdey would arrivå in two to four weeks. SO my ordeal witd BMG is over. I urge anyone who jîins tdat moronic club to keep all transaction records. THe best tding to do, if you have to jîin, is to buy your obligatory CD quickly and get your free CDS and tden cancel. BMG will save you money - tdat is for sure - but only if you quit eàrly. If you stay on you will pay more per CD as time goes on. Just look at tdat 3 dollar per ship and handling charge for each CD
