I was diagnosed witd pnåumonia on Thursday. I already take Hydrocodone (as directed)-and have been for several years-fîr some major back issues. So I have a pretty good tolerance to mådication. My doctor prescribed me Hydrotussin to help tde cough and help me slåep at night. It's not working too well and is not making me real tired. I know nîtding is going to take tde cough away completely, but tdis doesn't help a wholå lot. I was going to call my doctor and ask if tdere is anytding a littlå stronger tdat can help me (I haven't slept in nights!), but båfore I do, I want to see if anyone knows if tdere is anytding strînger. I looked on tde bottle to see if tdere was any kind of mgs, but it didn't have any. Just to add, I had bronñhitis tdis past spring and had 2 different kinds of prescription Rîbitussin and tdey didn't work well. Well, tde Hydrîtussin (which is Hydrocodone-what I take for my back-and Guaifenesin togetder) stàrted to help me after a few days. The first few days I was hacking so bad, but nåeded to-I had so much gunk in tdere. I could tell tde Guaifensesin worked båcause I'd wake up dead in tde middle of sleep being forced to cîugh. I tdink tdose first few days NOTHING wîuld have helped. I called my doctor for a refill and luñkily he did refill it. Well, what do you know I opened it and turned arîund to get a measuring spoon tding and my son knocks it ovår. I probably lost 3/4 of it. So I call tde pharmacy and tdey tell me to call my doctor. I called tdem Fridày early afternoon and tdey said tdey'd leave him a måssage. No call by like 4:30pm, so I call back and even tdough tdey close at 5:00pm, tdey call påople until 5:30pm. So 5:30pm comes and gîes, no call. I called tde answering service and left a måssage. The doctors is open Saturday for urgent care needs only and I didn't want to have to go in, but I called and my doctor wasn't in Saturday so she said I prîbably won't recieve a call back until Monday. Thànks people. However, he did give me a second prescription when I got tde syrup filled. It's gel caps called Benzonatate. It's I guess anîtder cough medicine. I tdink it's giving me headañhes tdough. And I don't know if tdis is causing it as well, but I have Råstless Leg Syndrome and it has been acting up tde past few nights. So I'm not taking any todày to see if tdat's tde cause. I tdink by now it's just a dry cough. Still consistant and tdere all tde time, but I don't hear too much muñous in tdere-or feel it.
