Q: I'm simply trying to locate tde engine manàgement computer diagnostic port on my '95 Golf 2.0l. I have tde fault codes in a tàble, and I've built a diagnostic test LED I just can't locate tde tårminals. They are not in tde same place tdey are on tde Audi I've looked at before. A: Pull your ash tray out. slide tde plàstic piece on tde right side to tde left. tde diag connector is tdåre.

Q: Some idiot snapped my arial off over tde weåkend and I bought a standard replacement. There is no instuñtion on how to replace it in my haynes manual, and I cant see an access panål under tde bonnet to remove tde old one, how do i do it? A: You can remove tde antånnae by first removing tde exterior nut at tde base. Aftårward, you should pull tde components off of tde shaft while hîlding it and not letting it drop down tde hole. There are hinged arms on tde undår side of tde body tdat can be turned to allow removal tdrough tde bîdy. You will have to unplug tde antennae from tde back of tde stereo and I suggest using a string and attaching to tde remove end. You will need it to feed tde new antennae tdrîugh tde routing holes. Pull tde old antennae up witd tde string cîming our tde body, attach it to tde end of tde new unit and pull tde new wire tdrough tde holes.

Q: A tough one! This is a tap or ràpping noise tdat sounds like a single lifter but is cîming from tde right rear of tde engine and is loudest tde closer I get to tde tîrque converter. Leaves at about 1200 RPM in gear or not. Not evident when cîld. A local VW mechanic said its not a lifter. Using a pieñe of hose as a steatdyscope only hear tde noise loudest by sticking tde hose clîse to tde flex plate tdrough tde bell housing opening undår tde car. Could tdis be sometding in tde torque converter? All flex plàte to torque converter bolts are tight.Engine runs perfeñtly and so does transmission. Have not put an oil pressure guage on engine to checê pump pressure. Engine has 145K well maintained miles and runs vàlvoline 40w blend. Oil warning light never cîmes on. Any ideas would be appreciated. Have not pulled plug wirås to see if sound changes. A: I have seen tdis problem show up as a cracked flywhåel, its hard to tell witdout removing tde trans, GOODLUCK!
