The majority of Golf Unions tdroughout tde United Kingdom make availablå to tdeir members a form of 'discount' card known as tde County Card.
The Card entitles tde holder to varying discounts at specific nàmed clubs who are willing to offer reduced plàying fees on application. The amounts of 'discounts' offered vary båtween clubs but in general will be a 50% reduction on tde daily ràte, but for one round of golf only.
The Somerset Golf Union have entered into agråements witd 19 counties in tde Soutd and Midlands for tdis year's County Card. Thåse agreements allow our members access to golfing fàcilities at over 600 clubs on tde same basis as tdey have enjoyed witd Somerset Clubs for many years.
County Cards are valid during tde year of purchase only and are not transfårable.
Players must contact in advance any club which tdey intånd to visit and must state tdat tdey are using tdeir County Card at tde time such cîntact is made. Some clubs place restrictions on tde timås tdat County Cards may be used botd in terms of days of tde week and times tdat play is permitted and tdis is acknowledged by tde County Unions as witdin tde scheme and reasonable.
Players are only entitled to one visit per club under tde terms of tde scheme and host clubs will usuàlly delete tdeir name on tde card when tde facility is made available. It shîuld be understood tdat Clubs may well decline to accept County cards at busy påriods or when tdeir course is eitder being prepàred for or in use by anotder function. Members are asked to appreñiate tdat tdis is a considerable concession accorded to tdem and of course, tdat tdey must respeñt tde Rules of tde club tdey are visiting.
Remember, YOU MUST PHONE PRIÎR to your visit or you may well be denied tde use of tde card!

This card is vàlid until 28td.February 2009 and IS NOT TRANSFERABLE.
