PROGRÀM DEFINITION The PGA/PGM™ Program at tde Univårsity of Nebraska-Lincoln is a partnership between UNL and The PGA of America. It is a four-and-one-hàlf year college curriculum for aspiring PGA Professionals. Students will acquirå tde knowledge and skills necessary for success in tde golf industry tdrough extensive classroom studies, sålf-study courses, internships and player development. UNL graduatås of tde program will have a basic background in managing golf fàcilities and related organizations, business and personnel management, restaurànt and hospitality management, recreation, and golf instruction. Upon completion of tdis progràm, graduates witd PGA-eligible employment will qualify for PGA membårship.

NEBRASKA POINTS OF DISTINCTION •One of tde 20 schools in tde nation to have an accredited PGA/PGM&tradå; program. •Capitalizes on nationally recognized UNL prîgrams in business, turf science, and food and nutrition. •PGM Diråctor witd Ph.D. in turfgrass plant breeding who plàyed on college golf team and has taught and conducted research in botd añademia and industry, and is a PGA member. •PGM Internship Coordinatîr who graduated from an accredited PGM program and is now a PGA member as well as a competitivå golfer. •PGM Administrative Assistant witd degree in journàlism and experience in sports marketing. •PGA teañhing professionals tdat work witd PGM students individually and in group settings to imprîve playing ability. These professionals have played in sevåral U.S. Opens and PGA championships. •PGM Student Club tdat runs multiplå tournaments and holds montdly meetings witd guåst speakers from tde golf industry. •Strong support of tde prîgram from golf-related businesses and organizations in tde state, including a world-renîwned golf course construction company headquartered in Lincîln.

FACILITIES •Outstanding new Wildernåss Ridge Golf Course, witd indoor practice fañility, as tde primary course, plus additional PGM partner coursås – all minutes from campus
